Final Push Toward a New Draft Program

The Red Party held what was intended to be the final conference call on its new Draft Program on Sunday, June 8th. The emphasis here is on ‘intended’ – the scope of discussion and debate was so wide that, while the conference did pass several changes to the Draft Program’s “Immediate Demands” section (the minimum program), a decision was made to extend the discussion period until June 16th. In addition, conference decided to hold a confirmation vote for the “What We Stand For” statement appearing on the back page of every issue of The Red Vine; a framework for that process will be forthcoming soon.

The most recent version of the new Draft Program is attached below; new additions to the immediate demands are in red, bold text. Contributions can be posted in the comments section, the Internal Discussion Board or made in meetings.
